Job Summary
We are seeking a Converting Operator/Maintenance Assistant to join our team. This position will be responsible for operating and maintaining converting equipment in a manufacturing environment to produce high-quality products. They will also assist our Supervisor and Maintenance Technician in repairing machines in the event of a breakdown and assists with preventative maintenance of equipment. Mechanical and Electrical knowledge a plus.
Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and monitor converting machinery according to production specifications
- Perform quality checks on products to ensure they meet company standards
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform basic maintenance tasks
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work area
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
- Maintain a high level of efficiency and quality
- Accurately fill out production paperwork
- Assist in machinery PM's
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience as a Converting Operator or similar role in a manufacturing setting
- Ability to read and interpret production documents and follow instructions accurately
- Strong attention to detail and quality control skills
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot equipment issues efficiently
- Mechanical and electrical knowledge
